This duck is native to South America and the Bahamas, but I saw him in Lambertville, NJ where he has taken up with a Mallard and her ducklings! I checked with my friend who is an eBird authority and he confirms that he's been seen on both sides of the Delaware for the last 2 years and is probably and escape or released bird. Very exciting just the same, and a beautiful bird!
