One of the few pictures of my Father overseas. For obvious reasons, most of the pictures of him were taken after the war <br>while waiting to be shipped home. One interesting story my Father recently told me was that while undergoing mortar attack in either Austria<br> or Germany, he began bleeding from his ear. He was flown to a hospital in Paris to recover. He remembers witnessing the end of the war<br> in Europe from his hospital room, with a light show over the city of Paris.
